Dear Students of all Ages, Welcome!

"Back in the day" when I was in the 8th grade, I memorized "IF," the poem below. I recited it for a contest. I can't remember if I won, but I still know this poem by heart, even though I'm your grandma's age.

I still love much of the advice in it. I thought you might like it too, so I added a link after the ample below

"IF" by Rudyard Kipling
(The full poem has the answer to the "if" - just remember the wisdom is for both boys and girls)

If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise
